Description
The first significant use of cluster weapons was during the Second World War, when German planes dropped SD-2 Butterfly bombs on the British port of Grimsby. Although only 1,000 or so bomblets were dropped, there was chaos in the town for weeks and the subsequent clearance task took around 10,000 man-hours. Almost as many people were killed after the raid as during it, as they attempted to collect or move the un-exploded sub-munitions. As an EOD Level 3 operator being able to correctly identify submunitions is essential for deciding the correct charge placement to effectively dispose of the item correctly. This course will only be available for one year from the date of purchase.
